EARLY YEARS FOUNDATION STAGE
At Bright Beginnings, we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). It sets the standards and care of children from birth to 5 years old. The EYFS supports an integrated approach to early learning and care. It gives all practitioners a set of common principles to deliver quality early education and childcare experiences for all children.
Every child is unique so we help them learn and develop through playing, exploring, being active, creative and by asking questions to support independent thinking.
By following the EYFS we are able to track each stage of the child’s development through observations and continuous assessment.
Activities are planned in accordance to the child’s individual needs and interests. They are offered a wide range of stimulating activities, both indoors and outdoors, throughout the day in a relaxed and secure atmosphere.
In addition to this we recognize diversity by celebrating lots of holidays and festivals including:
- Chinese New Year
- Father's Day
- Eid
- Pancake Day
- Saints Days
- Christmas
- Mother's Day
- Diwali
We also host numerous family events throughout the year, when loved ones are welcomed into Bright Beginnings to spend time with the children.
Your Key Person
When joining Bright Beginnings, every child will be allocated a key person whose priority is to make the child feel happy and safe to thrive and learn. They will work closely with you and your child to form the bonds required to make your child feel settled, loved and secure.
The key person will carry out regular observations which inform the child’s next steps and assist with their continuous learning. Regular development reviews and termly trackers will be completed to monitor progress.
As you know, being a parent is a magical experience as you watch your child grow but, it can also have it challenges. Your key person at Bright Beginnings, will help support your understanding of how your child is developing by highlighting what to expect and when.
Special Educational and Disability Needs
We have cared for many children with a wide variety of different needs. We are happy to discuss any additional needs your child may have and work with you to support these wherever possible.
