I’m a qualified, experienced Early Years Practitioner and my focus is to ensure our Nursery offers care of the highest standard.

Prior to opening Bright Beginnings in Barton Under Needwood, I started my career gaining experience and underpinning my knowledge whilst working in a school followed by a Crèche where I worked my way up to a management position. Here I was responsible for a large team of staff delivering quality childcare and I had the opportunity to learn the business and finance side of childcare too.

Following my time at the Crèche I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to open and build a Pre-school Nursery within a school in Lichfield. I had five wonderful years here and loved watching the nursery grow into the thriving nursery it still is today.

When my first daughter was born in 2007, I needed childcare for my return to work and I quickly realised that I was able to deliver a much higher standard of care than what was on offer. This was the point where I made the big decision to open my own nursery, and so I began the search for premises and the ideal place to set up. I knew with my experience and passion to provide the kind of childcare I as a mummy wanted for my own little girl, I would be able to make it a better standard than the care offered by other nurseries. My search led me to what you now know as Bright Beginnings where I teamed up with my good friend Zoe who had shared the experience of motherhood and also had the same ambition to one day own her own day nursery…so it seemed ideal!

I’m now a mum of two beautiful girls and outside of work we enjoy long walks with our feisty but gorgeous cocker spaniel. We have recently discovered a passion for gardening, regenerating our garden pond and attempting to grow some vegetables.

My experience and intuitive nature means I can continuously make improvements, investing in our staff and creating a happy, experienced and motivated team.
Alongside my management team, I ensure that all our children achieve the best possible outcome and have their very own bright beginning.

It was always my clear ambition to provide high-quality, inclusive, care and education for all, but in a home from home, warm and caring environment. I feel so proud and honoured as one of the Director’s of Bright Beginnings Day Nursery to be a part of providing each and every one of our families with this opportunity. With over 25 years of experience in childcare development, most within the private sector and Management, I strive to ensure our vision impacts us all, from the staff we recruit to the curriculum we teach, all our children and families are at the heart of everything we offer. I am fully qualified, committed, creative and an enthusiastic individual, as the nursery owner, I am fully committed to my role and to giving children the best possible start in life. It’s a pleasure to support local links outside of our setting and I’ve enjoyed my roles on the governing body of a local school. I will aim and continue to do everything possible to provide a nurturing environment and value the families we care for with a true solid foundation for their futures. I’m very lucky to have 2 wonderful children, whom I adore, both attended Bright Beginnings and I’m proud to say they’re both thriving.
