THE BRIGHT BEGINNINGS TEAM

Management Team

As a qualified primary teacher, I believe that the education and care which children receive is essential to helping them on their childhood journey to adulthood. Working with children has always been an ambition and dream of mine from the age of 7.

My career began as a nursery nurse where I completed the NNEB course and had placements at several nurseries. After that, I completed NVQ qualifications as a teaching assistant and worked in schools for several years. Whilst I loved this job, I always felt that I could give more as a teacher, so continued my educational journey on to completing a BA Honours degree in Education.

During my career, I have managed core subjects, led school choirs and gained experience of working with children with additional needs. More recently, I have home schooled our youngest for the past three years and currently I work alongside my husband in his company, where I teach Drug Education to pupils in schools and colleges. Being a teacher is extremely rewarding and I always look forward to going to work and seeing the children learn and develop each day.

On a personal level, I am married to a very supportive husband, Chris, and I have two wonderful daughters, Ocean and Sophie. In my spare time, I like to walk, read and spend time with my friends and our family in Italy.

I am now looking forward to working alongside Zoe (whom I have worked with on a professional level for over 10 years) and the team, to provide all of our children with the best education possible and have an input in shaping the lives of our future generations. The nursery is already an amazing place and I am very privileged and fortunate to be joining this fantastic, friendly team.

It was always my clear ambition to provide high-quality, inclusive, care and education for all, but in a home from home, warm and caring environment. I feel so proud and honoured as one of the Director’s of Bright Beginnings Day Nursery to be a part of providing each and every one of our families with this opportunity. With over 25 years of experience in childcare development, most within the private sector and Management, I strive to ensure our vision impacts us all, from the staff we recruit to the curriculum we teach, all our children and families are at the heart of everything we offer. I am fully qualified, committed, creative and an enthusiastic individual, as the nursery owner, I am fully committed to my role and to giving children the best possible start in life. It’s a pleasure to support local links outside of our setting and I’ve enjoyed my roles on the governing body of a local school. I will aim and continue to do everything possible to provide a nurturing environment and value the families we care for with a true solid foundation for their futures. I’m very lucky to have 2 wonderful children, whom I adore, both attended Bright Beginnings and I’m proud to say they’re both thriving.
